Tasha Neil

Tasha purchased NIH from Kevin Oliver in July 2018 and has hit the ground running, she enjoys being in the field sampling for Asbestos, Mold, Methamphetamine, Infection Control, and employee monitoring.  She is a State of Montana certified Asbestos Inspector, State of Montana certified Contractor/Supervisor, is certified in the NIOSH 7400 method for PCM cassette analysis, Certified Hazardous Waste Worker, and Certified Montana DEQ Methamphetamine Clean-Up Contractor.

In her “spare” time she enjoys being with her family and friends at the lake.

Environmental Chief Operating Officer

Robert Brownell

Bob is a senior project manager and investigator for asbestos, mold, lead and indoor air quality projects. He has over 10-years of experience providing consulting services on asbestos, lead, mold and indoor air quality projects. He has extensive experience providing these services for school districts, primarily Billings School District No. 2, Park County School District No. 1 (Powell, WY) and the Missoula County Public School District.

Bob routinely conducts pre-renovation, pre-demolition asbestos surveys and hazardous materials surveys.  Using the information presented in the survey reports, he develops project designs and specifications for the abatement of asbestos and hazardous materials prior to the start of the renovation or demolition project. Following completion of the design, he conducts pre-bid walk throughs, assists the client in selection of the abatement contractor and provides abatement oversight and construction administration services for the project.

Prior to his career in industrial hygiene consulting, Bob worked in the construction materials testing field. He has over 26 years of experience in the construction field, and has provided materials testing, project inspection and construction management services on a wide variety of projects.  His project experience includes municipal water and sewer-lines, water and wastewater treatment plants, commercial building construction, roadway and bridges, airports and mine-site construction.  Mr. Brownell monitored contractor activities for numerous projects to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.  He also has extensive experience in geotechnical investigation; coordinating geotechnical, as well as environmental, drilling operations and geotechnical laboratory testing.

Project Manager

Mark Oliver

Mark has 22 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. He got his feet wet (and dirty) in the environmental sector in 1996 working on a drill rig assisting geologists with Phase II soil analysis for potential contamination from leaking underground storage tanks (LUST), dry cleaning facilities, etc. Later that year he transitioned to providing asbestos, lead-based paint and mold inspections for businesses, government entities and homeowners. He also will prepare abatement / remediation project designs for addressing the removal of various hazardous materials. Mark is a state of Montana certified asbestos training instructor for asbestos inspector, work, contractor/supervisor and project designer. Mark has been with Northern since November 1996.

Office Manager

Patty Dinardi

Patty Joined the Northern team April of 2021 and brings over 19 years of Office and Management experience with her.  Patty’s hobbies include bowling, Golfing, Camping and Crafting.

Environmental Scientist

Todd Schneider
(Helena Office)

Bio-Bachelor of Science in Biology with a geology minor. 10 years as an Environmental Specialist between the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and Missouri Department of Health working with the air pollution control, solid waste management, criminal investigation, indoor air quality and childhood lead poisoning programs. Currently an Environmental Scientist with Northern. Todd has been with Northern since December 2017.

Sarah Schopp

Sarah joined the Northern team in 2017. She graduated from Montana State University Billings with a bachelor degree in Environmental Studies. She is a State of Montana certified Asbestos Inspector, State of Montana certified Contractor/Supervisor and is certified in the NIOSH 7400 method for PCM cassette analysis.

Chris Hust

Chris joined the Northern team in March of 2020. Chris is an accredited asbestos inspector and contractor/supervisor.

Industrial Hygienist
Tim Roberts

Tim joined the Northern team in September 2023, bringing 18 years of combined experience working with asbestos, lead, mold, meth, indoor air quality, noise, and hazardous waste management. He has worked in a variety of settings including residential, commercial, schools, government installations and industry, including refinery and mining sites. Tim enjoys working hands-on with clients to identify and resolve their health and safety needs. He has served as an occupational instructor for many years and developed training curriculum for asbestos, meth, PPE, respiratory protection, and hearing conservation.

He enjoys technical writing and has developed expertise in writing health and safety plans, job hazard analyses, standard operating procedures, and safety and training policies.

Tim is currently a State of Montana certified Asbestos Inspector, Asbestos Contractor/ Supervisor, and is certified in the NIOSH 7400 method for PCM cassette analysis.
