As buildings have become more
energy efficient, the quality of outside, fresh air introduced into the
building has been reduced. This general change, combined with the public's
increasing awareness of health impacts related to the indoor environment has
created a growing concern about indoor air quality.
Northern personnel have received specialized
training in investigating indoor air quality. Our staff includes
Industrial Hygienists with several years’ experience in investigating indoor air
complaints and IESO certification for residential mold inspections.
Successfully resolving indoor air
concerns can be a difficult and complex task involving the investigation and
assessment of a variety of potential sources of indoor air contaminants.
Through our familiarity with building ventilation system design and training in
the potential sources of indoor air contaminants, we are able to provide
thorough building inspection services targeted toward identifying potential
problems in each facility.
We are experienced at utilizing a
variety of air monitoring techniques including the use of sensitive instruments
which can collect and log data over extended periods of time to identify trends
in building air quality or potential problems with ventilation systems.
